Preparing for new Federal guidelines on data publishing: Community readiness and Data records for NSF PAR. In San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) Research Data Services Materials Collection

Research data and code are fundamental to scientific review processes, claim verification, and the production of new knowledge. A very short presentation made to the Data Curation Network served as preface to a discussion on community readiness around anticipated policy updates and new Public Access requirements. Extended discussion on these anticipated requirements addressed questions including, "What’s needed to prepare the research community for these upcoming changes?" "What kinds of information will increase awareness and facilitate “community readiness?”
