资源简介:
The primary aim of this study was to develop a bifunctional bone implant whose major component was a pH-responsive CaMg-X zeolite- based carrier of bisphosphonate. The designed biomaterial is intended to simultaneously support bone regeneration through the release of calcium (Ca²⁺) and magnesium (Mg²⁺) ions and to reduce osteoclast-mediated bone resorption via the controlled release of bisphosphonate (i.e. risedronate sodium) only in the case of excessive osteoclast activity and associated lowered pH value within the bone tissue. A secondary objective was to evaluate the biomedical potential of the developed biomaterial.
The folder ‘Assessment of cell morphology and growth on the surface of the bone implant after 3 days’ contains CLSM images of hFOB 1.19 cells after fluorescent staining.
The folder ‘Biodegradation assessment’ contains results from ICP and XRD analyses.
The folder ‘Ca and Mg ion release’ contains results from the ion release experiment.
The folder ‘Cytotoxicity assessment’ contains MTT assay results and CLSM images of cells after live/dead staining.
The folder ‘Hemocompatibility assessment’ contains raw data from the hemolysis assay.
The folder ‘In vivo study’ contains raw data from the in vivo toxicity assessment.
The folder ‘Liquid uptake ability’ contains raw data from the liquid uptake ability evaluation.
The folder ‘micro-CT analysis’ contains micro-CT images and porosity analysis.
The folder ‘Risedronate sodium release (UV–Vis)’ contains raw data from the risedronate release assessment.
The folders ‘SEM images at higher magnification’ and ‘SEM images at lower magnification’ contain SEM images of the tested biomaterial.
The folder ‘Surface roughness’ contains topography images and Sa analysis.
