Impacts of large herbivores on mycorrhizal fungal communities across the Arctic

We sampled environmental DNA from soil samples collected in 15 sites around the Arctic in both Ambient and herbivore exclosure conditions. We aimed to evaluate the impact of large mammalian herbivores on mycorrhizal fungal relative abundance using both a general ITS primer set and an AM specific primer set. We also evaluated the effects of soil properties, climate conditions, and plant functional types on the mycorrhizal fungal communities.These raw sequence reads are submitted to support the accepted Brachmann et al.
