EDP Foz Tua: Bivalvia – Ecological Monitoring Program (PME) and Compensatory Monitoring Program (PMC) – MC12N (Protection of Bivavlves and Fish), Exploration Phase (2018-2020).

The dataset contains records of freshwater bivalves (Mollusca, Bivalvia) collected in the river Tua sub-basin, included in the Ecological Monitoring Program (PME) and in the Complementary Measures Programs (PMC, Complementary Measure MC12N) of the Foz-Tua Hydroelectric Dam – AHFT promoted by EDP – Energias de Portugal, S.A. Data were collected between June 2018 and August 2020, during field visits to 36 fixed stations (21 for the PME, 15 of which in common with the PMC, and 15 for the PMC). The target species were Unio delphinus, Anodonta anatina, Potomida littoralis, Margaritifera margaritifera, and the invasive species Corbicula fluminea. A total of 17309 specimens if these species was recorded.
