Site LA37767 was excavated in the summer of 2001 by the ASU Eastern Mimbres Archaeological Project (EMAP). EMAP's focus during the 2001 field season was to obtain data regarding Classic Period environmental impact and social organization in the eastern Mimbres region. Excavation of site LA37767 was performed by both undergraduate and graduate level faculty and staff. The project was co-directed by Dr. Margaret Nelson, Ph.D., and Dr. Michelle Hegmon, Ph.D., both professors are currently at Arizona State University. Site direction of LA37767 was performed by Karen Schollmeyer, a Ph.D. candidate at Arizona State University. The following is a report of Unit '33 excavation, an excavation unit within site LA37767. LA37767 has Classic Period Mimbres cultural affiliation.
