Contact Line Ice Nucleation Is the Dominant Freezing Mechanism for Water on Macro- and Microscopic Polypropylene Surfaces
收藏资源简介:
This data repository contains experimental raw data which are presented in Bieber et al., Contact Line Ice Nucleation Is the Dominant Freezing Mechanism for Water on Macro- and Microscopic Polypropylene Surfaces, ACS Langmuir, 2025 (DOI: 10.1021/acs.langmuir.5c04321). Data are structured in several folders: -) The folder Screenshots_freezing_locations contains the screenshots from the high-speed camera videos which were used to evaluate the onset locations of freezing. -) The folder Evaluated_freezing_locations_and_temperatures contains the evaluated onset freezing locations in polar coordinates for droplets on flat substrates and in contact line yes/no format for fibers. This spreadsheet also contains the freezing temperatures of the droplets. -) The folder Contact_angles_OCA_tensiometer contains the contact angles which were measured with the optical contact angle (OCA) tensiometer. Measurements include droplet contact angle changes upon volume adjustments (Advancing_and_receding_contact_angles) and during a cooling cycle (Droplet_contact_angle_upon_cooling). High-speed raw videos are available upon request from the authors.
