LOAC (Light Optical Aerosols Counter) provides concentrations of aerosols in 19 size classes from about 0.2 to 50 micrometers. It can also provide some information on the main nature of aerosols (liquid, mineral, carbon).<br />

Observing strategy: <br />
Measurements are performed from balloons<br />
BLD : vertical sounding with meteo balloon <br />
BPCL : horizontal sounding in the lower troposphe, with pressurized tropospheric balloons
