NRS-21155 | Staff and student information from the New South Wales Correspondence School (Blackfriars)

The records in this series contain personal information of the staff and students of the New South Wales Correspondence School. The records consist of a printed list and a 5.25 inch floppy disc. The printed list records the pupils' names, addresses, dates of leaving, subjects, names of siblings and parents, as well as the parents' occupations. Teacher information includes name, address, professional qualifications, and activities associated with the correspondence school.The computer disc relates to the Enrolment (index) cards c.1950s-1984. Ms Shifreen, the Archives Coordinator, began processing the information on the enrolment cards, linking families where possible, and adding any personal information known to the teachers. Only a few hundred names were compiled. The disc also lists some of the teachers who were at the school in 1988 when the project was started.
