资源简介:

Yellow shoes with a low heel trimmed with red leather, with an elongated narrow toecap and the upper reaching mid-shin height. It is believed that this type of footwear was worn by wealthy highlander ladies at the end of the 18th century and in the 1st half of the 19th century, only as Sunday best. The most typical footwear of the Podhale highlanders were, and still are, kierpce (moccasins). In the past, they were made of cowhide or pigskin, not always tanned. They were worn both on a daily basis and on special occasions, but it also happened that in order to spare them, highlanders often walked barefoot. We know from the oldest written sources that wealthy highlander women also put on colourful leather boots for festive events.
