Arbuscular mycorrhizal-associated carbon forms nearly one-tenth of global topsoil organic carbon

This repository contains the datasets and gridded prediction products supporting the manuscript entitled "Arbuscular mycorrhizal-associated carbon forms nearly one-tenth of global topsoil organic carbon". The repository includes: (1) the raw literature-extracted GRSP dataset; (2) the 0–20 cm standardized global GRSP observation dataset containing 1,305 observations; (3) the paired GRSP and microbial necromass carbon dataset containing 136 observations; (4) site-level environmental predictor data; (5) global environmental predictor data used for Random Forest spatial prediction; (6) Random Forest model outputs and uncertainty estimates; and (7) gridded global prediction products for GRSP concentration, GRSP density, GRSP/SOC ratio, and GRSP-C/SOC ratio. These data support the analyses, figures, and global estimates reported in the associated manuscript. The gridded products are provided for the 0–20 cm topsoil layer. Users should consult the README file for file descriptions, variable abbreviations, units, and recommended usage.
