NRS-16303 | Register of votes and works [Waugoola Shire Council]

The purpose of this series was to record details of the money voted by Waugoola Shire Council for various public works; to show when and by whom the work was carried out; and to allow the orders to be traced in the Council's recordkeeping system and the transactions through its financial system. The works to which the votes refer were chargeable to the Public Works account of the Council in the General Account. They included road and bridge construction and maintenance, clearings and crossings, facilities in reserves. The register records the details of the votes across a two-page spread:Under the heading 'Votes of Council' the following details are given - Minute number, year, (month and day), work or object of expenditure, amount of vote and remarks.The following details are shown in relation to the orders issued: job number, date, to whom referred and amount of order. The section 'Orders completed' includes the year, date (month and day), cost and voucher number and allows for remarks.The series is arranged chronologically.
