Clostridium carboxidivorans P7. Clostridium carboxidivorans P7 (ATCC BAA-624, DSM 15243) was isolated from agricultural settling lagoon at Oklahoma State University. This organism has been used to ferment biomass generated syngas (usually a mixture of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and hydrogen) into ethanol and acetate. This is the type strain and will be used for comparative analysis.
