The goal of this study was to determine how the balance between SFAs and UFAs tightly controlled by SCD, regulates OC cell survival and tumorigenicity. 1) SCD was stably knocked down by shRNA in OVCAR-5 cells and cultured in low serum condition for 48 hours. Global effects on the transcriptome were examined by RNA-sequencing between shSCD vs shCtrl (in biological triplicates).
