Processed GNSS and ERA5 Horizontal Tropospheric Gradient Datasets for Tropical Cyclone Analysis

This repository contains the processed datasets supporting the analyses presented in the accompanying manuscript: GNSS-Derived Horizontal Tropospheric Gradients Reveal an Outer-Storm Structure in Tropical Cyclones The repository provides the processed GNSS- and ERA5-derived atmospheric products necessary to reproduce the analyses presented in the manuscript. Original satellite observations and tropical cyclone best-track datasets are publicly available from their respective data providers and are therefore not redistributed in this repository. Repository contents 1. GNSS This directory contains the GNSS-derived products generated from GFZ in-house software RTPPP, including Horizontal tropospheric gradients (HTG); Zenith wet delay (ZWD); GEONET station coordinates; National CORS Network (NCN) station coordinates; These datasets constitute the primary observations analyzed in this study. 2. ERA5 This directory contains horizontal tropospheric gradients derived from ERA5 atmospheric reanalysis using GFZ ray-tracing software DNS (v1. 0). Two datasets are provided: Grid-based HTG, computed on the ERA5 grid; Station-based HTG, interpolated or ray-traced to the GNSS station locations. These products were used for comparison with the GNSS-derived observations.
