Secondary succession of nitrifying microbiomes in two typical Florida agricultural soils

This study examined changes in the community composition of soil nitrifying microorganisms during a 30-day microcosm incubation following a simulated population-reducing disturbance that eliminated 95% (EAA soil) or 99% (CL soil) of the native microbial community, under the influence of selective inhibitors targeting different groups of nitrifiers.
