Burkholderia sp. SSG was isolated from symptom reversed boxwood leaves infected by boxwood blight pathogen. It is a diverged member of B. cepacia complex (Bcc) with the antagonism toward a broad spectrum of plant pathogens and a high control efficacy on boxwood blight. This project is to provide insights into modes of action of SSG in plant protection from pests and its prospective biotechnological applications.
