Various Velero IV activities include: dredge operation, winch operation, scuba diving, benthograph operation, clamshell sampler, sample net operation, sample collection. Flora and fauna include sea turtle, manta rays, a kelp forest, and tidepool specimens. Men included are: Captain Allan Hancock, Maurice Nelles, Fred Ziesenhenne, and others.
