资源简介:
This data is published in the following study: "Impacts of Arctic diesel contamination on microbial community composition and degradative gene abundance during hydrocarbon biodegradation with and without nutrients: a case study of seven sub-Arctic soils" by Kundu, A; Harrisson, O; and Ghoshal, S.Bioremediation is a method to clean up petroleum hydrocarbons pollution that is both cost-effective and sustainable. This study was done to gain an understanding of the impact of biostimulation on bioremediation in 7 sub-arctic soils. 16S rRNA gene sequencing was done to understand how the microbial communities were impacted by nutrients and diesel and how it relates to the biodegradation. The relevance of this study is that a deeper understanding of arctic diesel bioremediation in northern soils will help inform to implement sustainable strategies for site cleanup.
