In an otherwise wild-type background, DBL-1 signaling exerts no visible effect on dauer induction at both 20°C and 25°C. However, in a DAF-2-sensitized background, DBL-1 signaling promotes dauer arrest at 20°C. This effect is lost when observed at 25°C, where the loss of DAF-2 signaling is most potent. Values given are percent arrested dauer-like larvae of total progeny ± SEM.
