VPRS 12659 Contract Register

This series provides the details of contracts entered into for the construction and maintenance of roads and bridges. Full details of the location and nature of the contract and its costings are provided with the name and location of the contractor. Dates for completion and of publication in the Government Gazette are given with the final cost of the contract and any details of alterations or penalties or bonds lodged by the contractor. Some details regarding bonds may be found in VPRS 12658 Register of Bonds (VA 2803 Central Road Board) and VPRS 4659 Register of Bonds (VA 2964 Department of Roads and Bridges).VPRS 12659/P1 unit 2 also includes a summary of contracts based on the Boards Authority Number, giving summary details of the dates relating to the letting and completion of the contract, the expenditure on it and the Road Engineer supervising.
