These bundles contain briefing notes on anticipated parliamentary questions, questions upon notice and draft answers to multiple questions in Parliament. The question briefs were prepared by Premier's Department staff for use by the Premier or Ministers and consist of the issue, background information, the current position and suggested attitude.Draft answer papers are submitted by the Secretariat staff to the Director General for approval and contain answers to 'Questions with and without notice' in the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly.Some of these records are loose papers, while others were attached to registered Premier’s Department files. Registered files were part of a formal recordkeeping system where as the loose papers and unregistered folders have been consolidated into folders from papers held by the Cabinet Secretariat. These folders were generally unnumbered and have been allocated sequential numbers for retrieval purposes except where a numbering system was apparent (e.g. 84/676, 84/677, 84/679). One bundle of these questions dates from 15 to 24 March 1955 while the remainder of the questions date from 24 December 1980 onwards.
