Images and 3D Reconstructed Models (.OBJ & .MTL) of the Cromer Shoal Chalk Reef: Evaluating the Interchangeability of Structure-from-Motion Platforms in Marine Monitoring
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains the images and 3D reconstructed models supporting the study "Interchangeability of Structure-from-Motion Platforms in Marine Monitoring". The models were generated using Agisoft Metashape (v1.7.5.13) and 3DF Zephyr (v7.51) with stills extracted from videos at 10 frames per second. The benthic recordings were acquired from a ~ 250 m survey of the Cromer Shoal chalk beds (North Norfolk, UK) with a five-camera array mounted to a BlueROV2 remotely operated vehicle deployed from a vessel. The total extracted frames were sub-sectioned into discrete replicates, each comprising 175 images, representing a ~10 x 4 m segment of the benthic environment. File Structure: The extracted images folder contains the sub-sectioned raw images. The 3D model folder contains all model exports generated with both software, split by the subsequent settings used; three tiers were used in Agisoft Metashape and two in 3DF Zephyr to represent a gradient of computational effort. Each setting folder contains - OBJ files: The geometric mesh data (vertices and polygons) MTL files: Material Template Library defining texture mapping and visual properties or FBX files: An all-in-one 3D asset format that combines geometric mesh, material data, and advanced features into a single file 3D model files ending in '_00' indicate that the images used are from the file named 'ER_00'
