Replication Data for: Reverse mixed-ownership reform and earnings quality of Chinese private enterprises: From the perspective of state-owned capital participation

This dataset is utilized to empirically examine the reverse mixed-ownership reform's economic effects on private enterprises from the perspective of earnings quality through multiple regression analysis. The findings reveal that state-owned capital participation mainly alleviates the financing constraints of private enterprises through the resource complementarity effect, thus promoting the improvement of private enterprises' earnings quality. Moreover, the dataset allows for investigating the governance optimization effect of state-owned capital in mitigating principal-agent problems, a significantly underexplored area. Through this analytical framework, the dataset facilitates a deeper understanding of how state-owned capital's involvement contributes to the valuation of private enterprises.
