In this study, comparative analysis of the bacterial communities in the root samples was performed between a perennial sweet sorghum cultivar NaPBS778 (simply N778) and its control lines TP60 by 16S ribosomal RNA gene (16S rDNA) V5-V7 variable region amplicon deep sequencing via Illumina MiSeq platform. The obtained sequence information allowed us to assess the composition, diversity of bacterial communities inhabiting the root of the perennial sweet sorghum.
