High through put sequencing (HTS) has been recommended for seed certification programs worldwide. However, its costs have impeded implementation. This project explored amplicon approach to simultaneously detect multiple viral species. Two monopartite viruses, Pea seed-borne mosaic virus (PSbMV) and Bean yellow mosaic virus (BYMV); a bi-partite virus, Pea early browning virus (PEBV); and a tripartite virus; Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) were sequenced.
