Bacterial whole genome sequencing of a Gram-positive bacterium Staphylococcus lentus (B3 strain) isolated from cecal and colonic contents derived from specific pathogen free C1qc-/- mice

To identify the species and to analyze the genome sequence and structure, total genomic DNA from a Gram-positive bacterium Staphylococcus lentus (B3 strain) isolated from cecal and colonic contents derived from specific pathogen free C1qc-/- mice, was extracted using NucleoSpin Tissue Kit (Macherey-Nagel). Sequencing libraries were generated using TruSeq Nano DNA Library Prep Kit (Illumina Inc.), followed by sequencing on a NovaSeq6000 S4 platform and 150 bp paired end (PE) reads.
