资源简介:

This repository contains the data and MATLAB code used to analyze and visualize the thickening of oxygen-deficient waters in the tropical Pacific. The archive includes processed minimum dissolved oxygen fields, oxygen-deficient zone (ODZ) thickness estimates, zonal thickness and volume diagnostics, and the MATLAB scripts and supporting functions required to reproduce the figures and summary analyses. The processed data are organized by multi-year periods, including 1977–1988, 1989–2000, 2001–2012, and 2013–2024. Files beginning with minDO_hist_ssp585_*_mean_new_slim.mat contain the minimum dissolved oxygen data used for spatial mapping. Files beginning with ODZ5thickness_hist_ssp585_*_mean_new2026_slim.mat contain the ODZ thickness fields and related spatial information used to show observed and interpolated ODZ thickness patterns. The file ODZ_vol_thic_prof.mat contains derived zonal diagnostics, including latitude-binned ODZ thickness, ODZ volume, and profile counts. The MATLAB code includes the main plotting and analysis script (ODZmain.m) and helper functions for figure layout and color maps, including tight_subplot.m, GetColors.m, slanCM.m, RGB2MatlabColor.m, and Hex2RGB.m. These scripts reproduce the maps of minimum oxygen and ODZ thickness, latitude-binned thickness and volume summaries, and supporting visualization products used in the associated study. The data products are intended to support reproducibility of the analysis presented in the manuscript “Thickening of oxygen-deficient waters in the tropical Pacific.” Users should cite this Zenodo record and the associated publication when using these data or code.
