PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a trouble possible to occur at the time of starting and shift a sheet production apparatus to a stable operational state when starting the sheet production apparatus from a stop state. SOLUTION: The sheet production apparatus comprises an accumulation part 60 that rotates a drum part 61 in which a plurality of openings are formed to eject fibers， a second web formation part 70 that operates a mesh belt 72 to form a second web W2， a sheet formation part 80 that forms a sheet S from the second web W2， and a control part that carries out starting control for shifting the accumulation part 60 and the second web formation part 70 from a stop state. When the starting control is carried out from a state where fibers exist in the drum part 61， the control part controls at least one of a timing to start a rotation of the drum part 61， a rotational speed of the drum part 61， a timing for starting movement of the mesh belt 72， and a moving speed of the mesh belt 72 to adjust a thickness of the second web W2.
