These are applications for legal assistance under the Poor Persons Legal Remedies Act of 1918, for cases heard both by the Supreme and District Courts. Most of the files include the following papers: application, statutory declaration and statement re applicant's financial position, interview with legal aid officers, papers lodged by the applicant in support of the application and the report by the Officer-in-Charge, Legal Aid Office.
