Autoantibodies in Pregnancy Loss

Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) is associated with antiphospholipid-related autoantibodies, but their clinical significance varies considerably across patients. We examined whether obesity affects this association, assessed their discriminatory performance across BMI groups, and assessed whether these associations differed across BMI strata. BMI-stratified analyses suggested heterogeneity in the association and discrimination of several antiphospholipid-related autoantibodies in RPL, but formal interaction testing was inconclusive. These findings support prospective validation of BMI-aware biomarker interpretation rather than immediate changes to diagnostic practice.
