Metatranscriptomic sequencing of human nasal swab specimens for SARS-CoV-2 and pathogen detection were performed at two sites. A ribo-depletion method based on the CRISPR-Cas system, CRISPRclean, was used to remove uninformative sequences in vitro prior to high-throughput sequencing.
