Air masses affecting the area travel from central Canada and along St.
Lawrence River Valley, or along the Atlantic seaboard, often crossing the
northeastern United States. The majority of ozone episodes are associated with
long range transport of pollutants from these more heavily populated areas.
Other Instruments: Passive ozone samplers were set-up throughout the region in
August of 2000.
