Data-Didactic analysis of natural science textbooks in Ecuador

This dataset supports a study analyzing twelve Ecuadorian eighth-grade natural science textbooks to evaluate their alignment with constructivist learning principles and the competencies outlined in the Prioritized Curriculum. Using content analysis with tools like ATLAS.ti 25 and IRaMuTeQ, the research found limited use of constructivist strategies such as inquiry-based learning and problem-solving. The findings suggest a need to improve the didactic structure of textbooks to promote meaningful, contextualized learning in line with curricular goals.<br><br>
