This research project is a pilot study to investigate the feasibility and acceptability of an updated media literacy-related tobacco prevention program in 2 high schools.

In each school, health classes were randomized to intervention (tobacco program) or control (usual education + tobacco program). All participants received a pre-test, a post-test (completed approximately 4-8 days after pre-test; immediately after intervention), a follow-up approximately 4 months later, and a final follow-up approximately one year later.

Measures included feasibility metrics, acceptability metrics, tobacco use behavior and susceptibility, attitudes and normative beliefs, tobacco-related media literacy, and socio-demographic factors.
