NAS Drive Dataset: specs, CMR/SMR, acoustics, and 2025 - Q1 2026 annualized failure rates

An open dataset of 208 current NAS and enterprise hard drives (152 HDDs + 56 SSDs), one row per model: capacity, RPM, cache, interface, form factor, recording technology (CMR vs SMR), helium, drive class, and A-weighted idle/seek noise. For models tracked by Backblaze, it includes the annualized failure rate over a rolling window through Q1 2026 (full-year 2025 + Q1 2026) computed from the raw quarterly Drive Stats, with the underlying drive-days and failure counts so the rate can be recomputed. Provided as CSV and JSON. License: the drive specs and CMR/SMR mapping are released under CC BY 4.0. The failure-rate fields are derived from Backblaze Drive Stats and remain under Backblaze's terms (cite Backblaze; the raw data is not relicensed).
