Urban high-temperature conditions and thermal environmental characteristics are monitored through remote sensing information extraction integrated with statistical methodologies. Urban Heat Island (UHI) intensity, defined as the anomaly level of Land Surface Temperature (LST) retrieved via remote sensing relative to the temperatures of reference regions, is a qualitative indicator for assessing the severity of urban heat island effects. Further analysis and calculation based on existing LST products can generate LST products with resolutions including 30m, 250m, and 1km, with a temporal frequency reaching the hourly scale.
