Antimicrobial resistance is a growing concern and complicates treatment of Staphylococcus pseudintermedius dermatitis in dogs. Treatment with rifampicin (RFP) is considered only in S. pseudintermedius isolates that are both meticillin-resistant (MR) and multidrug-resistant (MDR). Whole-genome resequencing was performed in three RFP resistant MR-MDR strains from RFP time-kill kinetics assays.
