The R&D Pipeline for SPOTMalaria project is being set up to support research and development in the first phase of SPOTMalaria project. Samples processed in SPOTMalaria R&D will be kept separate from those processed under SPOTMalaria. In this study, DBS (dried blood spots) samples collected in different locations across Ghana will be submitted to DNA extraction and quantification. In a following step, samples will be submitted to selective whole genome amplification (sWGA) for parasite DNA amplification by our team. These sWGA samples will then be genotyped and whole genome sequenced. The number of samples expected is around 576 samples (six 96 well plates) during April-July 2016.
