Dataset of tree species of the Neotropical region

The Database integrates tree species information from 7484 sites distributed across the Neotropical Biogeographic Region, compiled from1992 to 2017. All this information was extracted from the http://www.neotroptree.info/ website. The database presented here allows easy location and spatial cross-referencing of species and their environmental characteristics, thus we have added a vector database in shapefile format. To merge all the information, the free software Python, R and Qgis were used. This big database will help diverse researchers in the deepening of studies such as, for example, conservation, floristic patterns.
