UK Jellyfish Sightings from 2003 to 2015

This is a volunteer wildlife sightings scheme whereby records of jellyfish that have been sighted are submitted by the public or organisations to MCS. The scheme is specific to the UK and the sightings may be of live or dead specimens, on land or at sea. The scheme is not set up to record zero abundance records. The scheme covers the following species: Aurelia aurita (Moon Jellyfish); Cyanea capillata (Lion's Mane Jellyfish); Chrysaora hysoscella (Compass Jellyfish); Cyanea lamarckii (Blue Jellyfish); Pelagia noctiluca (Mauve Stinger); Physalia physalis (Portuguese Man o'War); Rhizostoma octopus (Barrel Jellyfish); Velella velella (By The Wind Sailor)
