NRS-11567 | Extraneous duty book [Menindee Police Station]

This shows details of licences issued by police and recommendations regarding the issue of licences such as: publicans' licences, billiard and bagatelle licences, tobacco licences, fishing licences, pistol licences, and public halls and theatrical licences. There are also details of issue of arms and equipment to police, records of appointments, and services rendered to State and Commonwealth Departments. The Police Station at Menindee closed in 1919 and the series continues to be used as a record of Aboriginal people in the area who were receiving rations from the Aborigines Protection Board and Aboriginal children who were attending school.
