The Taihu Lake region undergoes intensive land-use conversions from natural wetlands (NW) to conventional rice-wheat rotation fields (RW) and further to greenhouse vegetable fields (GH). To explore the impact of land-use intensification on microbial communities, we conducted monthly soil sampling from replicated plots representing three land-use types (NW, RW, and GH) in subtropical wetlands through amplicon sequencing. We evaluated how soil fungal community structurechanged across a 12-month period from representing three common land-use types in the Taihu Lake region, China.
