Note #1: Spatially distributed information (lat/lon) of each data center is derived from a proprietary compilation provided by Saoradh Enterprise Partners and, consequently, the data relative to Fig 1b, Fig 2, and Fig 5a cannot be made available by the authors. Note #2: Future projections of months per year with water scarcity have been computed for 2 warming levels (+1.5°C and +3°C) as a multi-model average of 5 climate models (IPSL-CM6A-LR, UKESM1-0-LL, GFDL ESM4, MPI-ESM1.2-HR, and MRI-ESM2.0), and using H08 as a global hydrological model. Note #3: Pixel- and country-level water gap data under different scenarios are available at: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.13220763.
