Rock magnetic and transmission electron microscope data of the sediment core GC02 from the northwestern Pacific

This dataset includes a total of sixteen data files for the sediment core GC02 recovered from the northwestern Pacific. One Excel file shows the depth variations of hysteresis parameters and anhysteretic remanent magnetization (ARM) intensities along the sediment core, including the coercivity (Bc), coercivity of remanence (Bcr), saturation remanence (Mrs) regarded as the saturation isothermal remanent magnetization (SIRM) here, and saturation magnetization (Ms); three Excel files contain the raw data of the isothermal remanent magnetization (IRM) acquisition curves for the representative samples; three FRC files are the raw data of the first-order reversal curve (FORC) diagrams of the representative samples, which can be opened and processed using the FORCinel software of Harrison and Feinberg (2008); and nine Gatan DigitalMicrograph Image Document files present the raw data of transmission electron microscope (TEM) images of magnetic mineral extracts for three representative samples (i.e., three files for each sample).
