The invention relates to a table saw (30) comprising: a support structure (12) having a rest portion (1) which provides a rest surface (8) on which a workpiece (11) can rest; a saw blade (2) which engages through an opening of the rest portion (1) so that at least one part of the saw blade (2) is located below the rest-portion underside (14); and a housing assembly (80) which is located below the rest-portion underside (14) and surrounds the part of the saw blade (2) located below the rest-portion underside (14)， wherein the saw blade (2) together with the housing assembly (80) can be pivoted relative to the rest portion (1) in order to set an angle between a cutting plane of the saw blade (2) and the rest surface (8). The table saw also comprises a cover flap (87)， which covers a gap formed between the housing assembly (80) and the rest-portion underside (14) when the housing assembly (80) is pivoted， in order to prevent a user of the table saw from reaching through the gap towards the saw blade.
