Among the 117 elderly smokers, homocysteine data was not available for one subject. One subject in the non-resistant group and no subjects in the resistant group were receiving anti-anaemia therapy (chi-square test: P = 0.246). One subject in the non-resistant group and two subjects in the resistant group were receiving respiratory medications (chi-square test: P = 0.585).
