As of November, 2024, Mediterranean Shipping Company's ships had a capacity of around 6.2 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), topping the rankings as the carrier with the largest capacity. The company was followed by APM-Maersk who had a capacity of roughly 4.43 million TEUs.
