BETA-FOR_SP6_Ants_2022/2023

This dataset includes records of ant species collected using pitfall traps across the 234 BETA-FOR patches. Two traps were installed 7 meters from the center of each patch, positioned in the northwest and southeast. Traps were emptied at the end of May, June, and July. Sampling was conducted in 2022 for 90 patches in the University Forest and 90 patches in the Bavarian Forest. In 2023, 18 patches in Hunsrück, Saarland, and Lübeck each, leading to a total of 54 patches. All collected samples were sorted by the University of Würzburg and the University of Bayreuth and identified by Lisa Albert.
