Gut microbiome and metabolome profiling in Parkinsons Disease Patients from SouthWest India

This project aims to profile the metagenome of the gut microbiome in a Parkinson's disease cohort from Kerala, India, to identify signature microbiota for diagnostic purposes and to assess geographic variability. The study seeks to uncover unique microbial markers associated with Parkinson's in the Kerala population. This research is critical for developing region-specific diagnostic tools and understanding the influence of geographic location on the gut microbiome's role in Parkinson's disease.
