The rhizospheric and endophytic fungal community of maize (Zea mays L.) when weeds are controlled with glyphosate or paraquat in the field

in order to know if herbicides alter the fungal community, we treated weeds with herbicides in an agricultural soil and cultivated crops although to what extend is still largely unknown. Therefore, weeds were removed manually or treated with glyphosate or paraquat after sowing of maize (Zea mays L.), but before their emerging, while the fungal community was studied in the bulk soil, rhizosphere and roots of the maize plants at flowering and harvest and in the grains dried for 24 days.
